Expanding the innovative and highly successfulPlatypus Super-Braid™ range with new Platypus Jigging-Braid™. Platypus-Jigging Braid™ is designed as the ultimate fish targeting braid, using five coloured sections 10 metre long.
Platypus Jigging-Braid ™ is stronger than steel. Computer monitored braiding achieves an ultra tight weave of 100% Ultra High Molecular Weight PE (Dyneema™/Spectra™) gelspun fibres in a eight carrier configuration. Eight carrier braids are the premium end of the braid spectrum, most Japanese braids are eight carrier.
Eight carrier braids are round not flat like most cheaper American and European braids, rounder braids pack better on a reel, are more abrasion resistant, have superior knot strength and have a lower coefficient of friction for longer casts. Using three or four carriers produce a cheaper, but technologically inferior braid.
Ultimate fish targeting – fish exactly where you want using the measured colour sections. Jig and fish with increased confidence, at the exact depth where the fish are hanging. Trolling with more control by keeping your lure spread exactly where you want it behind the boat.

Platypus Jigging-Braid is a round eight carrier braid made from Ultra High Molecular Weight PE (Dyneema™/Spectra™) fibres
Breaking strains and equivalent monofilament diameters
30 lb (PE4, approx 0.33mm), 50 lb (PE6 approx 0.37mm) and 80 lb (PE8 approx 0.47mm)
